Thunder Storm - Lightning
Stevensville, Michigan
08/02/2006
I took 860 pictures and this is all that turned out.
Catching lightning is hard!
You need patience and nothing else to do.
My power went out during the storm so instead of just going to bed
I brought out the Digital Camera and tri-pod opened up the sliding glass door and started clicking away.
During the action I felt my cat rub up against my leg but he was wet, I assumed from the rain
but he started going outside and I told him to come in when I took a second look and it wasn't him
He was on the floor next to me looking up at me, I looked outside and it wasn't him it was a Raccoon!
You see the raccoon came into my house soaking wet from the storm rubbed up against me
like a cat and hung out for a while (It was dark remember I had no power.)
I felt bad so I gave it some cat food and he stayed for a while longer while I took more pictures of the Lightning.
He was just a baby and he let me pet him.
All in All it was an interesting night.
One thing I have to say is taking pictures in a lightning storm is pretty STUPID, so DON'T try this at home.
